Davis Appeal Expanded in Eleventh Circuit to Include New Evidence of Police Misconduct

This week, the Davis appeal got a small win in Federal court. The appeal to the eleventh circuit was expanded to include the new evidence of new recordings of Atlanta police detective admitting two tapes were recorded of the Scott Davis 1996 police interview. Of course, police have been denying the existence of this crucial evidence for years and have lied to the various courts repeatedly. Overwhelming evidence shows the tape used at trial to wrongly convicted Scott was altered.

The Eleventh Circuit must decide how to evaluate this new evidence in the face of all the other police misconduct and destroyed evidence in Scott’s wrongful conviction.
