Scott Davis has shown his character throughout his incarceration. He is behaved as well as anyone could expect under the circumstances and has spent his time trying to help others. It’s time for him to be released on parole and the people that have been around him including his Warden has written a letter of recommendation because he’s known Scott for many years. Below is a text that letter and the actual image of that letter. We asked that the Georgia parole board Grant Scott his freedom.

To Whom It May Concern:
It takes a special kind of person to motivate me to advocate for parole consideration since this is not a job I perform frequently or lightly. These cases only involve those who have shown exemplary behavior, maintained a positive outlook in difficult circumstances, proven a willingness to set aside selfishness to help others, shown growth and the ability to be regretful of past mistakes and to move past them to be a valuable member of the community. Furthermore, they have used all these qualities to help others follow the same path of positivity by actively searching for ways to influence the men that they may interact with.
Scott Davis has not only exhibited these benevolent characteristics but stands out as a leader with staff. Observing Mr. Davis over the past ten years, it is apparent that he is a person I believe not only merits a second opportunity but also has the potential to be a very valuable contributor to society. Within the Georgia Department of Corrections, Mr. Davis has actively sought out and taken advantage of every opportunity provided, maintaining a leadership role in every position he was assigned.
For nearly five years, he used his post graduate education to assist willing offenders in obtaining their GED credentials, commencing from the first week of his incarceration at Phillips State Prison. He has also been a Chaplain’s aide where he has been a leader within the Music Ministry and is a member of the “Men of Redemption” church music team. On that team, his faith has continually shown itself in his dedication to the group, church, and the institution. For approximately the last three years, Mr. Davis has been an integral member of the Faith and Character Dorm where he is an instructor for the dorm programming and mentor to others; again demonstrating his selflessness, compassion, and commitment to leading and instructing his peers in any capacity.
In addition to his faith, another significant component that contributes to Mr. Davis’ strength and integrity is the support of his family, as they are another source that fuels his perseverance. Throughout the years, Mr. Davis has lived his life by the maxim that we must persevere even in the face of adversity. It is for that reason, and my firm belief, that Scott Davis will be welcomed by the community if given the opportunity to return to society to make an exponential transformation to every life possible.
J. Kevin Perry, Warden
