WHY SCOTT DAVIS DESERVES A NEW TRIAL – Why Scott is Innocent

The old news shows and television are no longer current on the facts and evidence of Scott’s case. None of the old news is. How could they be? So much has changed.
Since trial and the production of these shows, too much new and material evidence of police misconduct has been discovered and new information supporting Scott’s innocence has been revealed. These new revelations need to be taken into account. We are actively trying to get these media outlets to update their content to reflect the new facts. Scott has repeatedly asked to be interviewed. We hope this will happen soon. We appreciate the media and their efforts at truth.
New Evidence Since Trial
Police detectives lied and faked evidence. As we can see now that homicide detective Marchel Walker was captured on tape admitting that two tapes were recorded of Scott’s illegal police interview, police and prosecutors have been lying for nineteen years. Then the GBI intentionally destroyed the best evidence that could prove Scott innocent and find the killer. Other agencies also destroyed evidence and lied about it to Scott’s attorneys and the courts. Other witnesses got on the stand and created fiction to collect the $300,000 reward paid only for a conviction. Simply, it was a bribe.
How can anyone fairly defend themselves under those circumstances? You can’t.
Scott threatened no one. He was attacked at his home and could have proven it had the police not destroyed the torn clothes of the attacker found on Scott’s fence. Scott’s father was telling the truth in his testimony that Scott was at his home and Scott’s attorneys even tried to put this on the record before trial as an alibi but prosecutors didn’t want to commit to any specific times of the crimes obviously so they could allow their star lying witness Megan Bruton more room to make up false testimony.
Just as in numerous cases we see in the news about exonerated defendants, police committed to convicting Scott from the first night mostly because of Megan’s lies denying she told Scott that Coffin had been “shot”. All the evidence proves she did tell Scott and a friend this before anyone else knew. However, once police committed to Scott as the perpetrator, they could not pull back so they lied, altered and destroyed evidence at will for nine years before trial and continue today.
Why has Megan gone free is the real question. Why have police been allowed to lie and alter evidence without prosecution?
Scott’s trial was a farce without all the new evidence of police misconduct and witness perjury being in front of the jury.
We see in the news everyday people being exonerated after decades in prison. Open your eyes and admit that Scott deserves a new fair trial and support him in at least this.
