Seems awfully suspicious to me that 70+ critical items could be lost by 5 separate agencies. It appears that most of it disappeared in 2005 after the wiretap but before the indictment.. This is no coincidence. I think only an idiot would believe this scenario.

I just don’t understand that if there wasn’t enough evidence to charge Scott in the first instance and the charges were dropped, how then, 10 years later without anymore evidence and with witnesses memories fading can he then be found guilty of a crime that doesn’t seem anymore certain of the perpetrator. So much evidence lost, nothing really concrete seemed to have come forth that they couldn’t have manipulated the first time round. It just seemed a family that was desperate for answers (and rightly so) and desperate authorities that needed to place a perpetrator to the crime to save their own credabilty…That’s not a fair trial at least we all deserve a fair trial not this SHAM!!! Who can possibly have faith in the justice system it all seems to be manipulation to prove what the prosecutors are pressured to prove for what ever reasons!!

Oh yeah….those damn prosecutors…..so tricky. Always going after rich white boys whose daddy’s have deep connections and locking them up. What world do you live in?

hey U.B, just been reading other comments and you just seem a tad angry, why so? Is this personal? That wouldn’t be very objective would it? What world do I live in? same one as you…

Did you guys forget that 12 jurors found the man guilty? It’s not that easy to convince a jury to convict. The right man is in jail. His dad is just trying to protect his son, but I think he knows there is something wrong with that boy. What kinda knucklehead runs for Gov. in California knowing he was charged with murder. Only an arrogant man who feels he is “above” the rest of is. Hell, he thought he had gotten away with our already.

So many mistakes made in this case on both sides that I’m quite certain the Grand jury will give this true American Idiot a new trail.
Was there change of venue? Did the detectives really search for the missing slug that was fired at Mr. Davis or did they assume his guilt? If someone really shot a him, then the spent round and slug are somewhere? Bet it matches the one taken from Mr. Carnes head? How about blood evidence? This man is accused of shooting someone point blank in the head. There is blood spatter (and DNA) on his cloths, in his car, and at his residence if he committed this crime….AND IT WOULD STILL BE THERE!!! Did they obtain a search warrant for this purpose? Did the gun have a registration # and if so, who did it belong to? I know it didn’t burn off!!! Did they obtain credit card purchases from Mr Davis on or around the date of crime? (Check for Gas can, Gasoline, Ammunition purchases) How was the fire started? Did they check Mr Davis for gunshot residue on his hands. You can tell the difference between firing a shot gun or hand gun this way. Again…..I think they assumed him guilty. Maybe hes just retarded and so much wanted his wive’s affection that he made up these stories to try and manipulate his wife into feeling sorry for him….Who knows? Id like to???
Someone is guilty of this crime and its a dam shame there are sick people in this world that could even consider doing such a thing. My heart goes out to the family of Mr. Carnes and may God bless and grant you peace!!!

One more thought than im out…..Taking the stand in your own defense is always a good thing in a case with little evidence. The jury wanted you to tell them why you are not guilty of this crime and why they shouldnt send you to prison for life. That would have forced me to find you not guilty because reasonable doubt is all over this case. Good luck and if you get out, OJ will help in finding the real killers…
