I knew of Megan way back in school and it wouldn’t surprise me at all if she had some knowledge about David’s death. I understand that she pretended to graduate from the Univ. of Ga.

Does anyone know how much of the reward money Megan was able to collect? The fact that she had sudden clear recollection of the shot comment must have been worth alot to the Coffin family. Incredible how a little $ will jog the memory. Megan was always attracted to fame and fortune. Does anyone know where she was when Coffin was murdered? The lengths that she went to influence the jury with her blog postings make one think she was really motivated. What was she doing corresponding with the DA’s office on such a regular basis?

UB, you aren’t so intuitive yourself. Megan was so hellbent on making Scott the guilty one so as to take any suspicion away from her – she had knowledge she did not want the authorities to have. At the trial it was shown that she made the comment about the shot in the head first – how did she know that? She also admitted to lying to Scott and his mother about her trips – she is just an adulturous little sneak as far as I can tell – how do you trust what she says on a witness stand?

Ok…1st, “innocence” is spelled wrong. That clearly identifies the admin as the white trash whore who stole documents from the atty files. 2nd- dave davis knows where the gun is bc he had ADA Burford remove it from evidence along with other items. 3rd… I claim the reward money…I know who did it! SCOTT Davis! 4th…5th…whatever- justice is only ever delayed- never denied. The future holds quite a bit of pain for Mr S Wynn Davis…and his rectum. Mark my words….redemption may be inevitable but retribution on the Davis Camp/Clan is assured… And that right soon.

I think someone from the Davis side paid to have it removed because they thought there would not be a conviction without the evidence……backfired on them and now they are trying to use it as an excuse. Who would think of a strategy so deep and twisted? Maybe someone who is supposed to know how the mind of a sick twisted sociopath acts….Someone like a foresic psycho doctor….who doesn’t have the greatest reputation in town for a lot of things….oh wait….that WAS the dad. Seems to me someone beat him at his own game.

All these references to the forensic psycho doctor by UBKidding make it sound like some kind of vendetta – I believe if psycho had so much influence, his son would not be in prison. Have you ever thought of that? Where do people get such ideas? – I guess it helps make it easier for one to make his theory work.

UB…I agree with you…Daddy Davis had a LOT to do with this case and yes, it all backfired in his face! Daddy Davis THOUGHT his connections would help his son, but that was not to be the case after all! Scott is right where he belongs! I hope he rots in there….his father should be sharing the cell with him!

You people except Molly are the biggest bunch of ignorant jerks.No one deserves anything like this. In our law system we believe in evidence proving someone guilty some tramp who has a history of lying is not a good source of evidence. Not to mention she’s fled the country whenever bad evidence appeared.
Did you read anything on this site? I bet the two hatred are Megan and her family she’s notorious for blogging and lying.
And to insult Scotts father? Shame on you. He is defending his child honestly and what father would back down of there childs innocent. Dr Davis is one of the most honest men you could know.
Megan wanted to be a rich society princess and fell in with the wrong people and became an adulterer.
All the facts point to her or the mysterious men who attacked Scott.
The words issued on this blog are sickening and sinful and shameful.
As one of you said about this great family I beg to argue that karma will come to you and Megan fanclub ie most likely yourself, one day your lying and schemeing will kick you in the rear and it will be well deserved regardless if you were involved in the actual murder.
Freedom and justice will come to those who deserve it and persevere and Scott Davis will be receiving it.

I didnt know anything much about this trial i just seen the billboards as i go to class everyday so i decided to check it out. From everything i read there isnt a doubt in my mind that Megan either commited the crime or knows who did. I did wanna know what was her relationship to the person that they accussed Scott Davis of shooting, and why she was one of the first people notified about his death and house being burned down. It doesnt take a rocket scientist to see that Scott Davis is innoncent. I hope that he gets a retrial and that his defense focuses on attacking the crediability of Megan and the other prosecutors since that lost evidence will probably never be recovered the best bet for this one is to destroy them in front of a jury.

Questions:
Lisa Ackerman was writing for the San Jose Mercury News when Scott was arrested in California. Why did Scott call Lisa Ackerman instead of another reporter?
I have read elsewhere that some feel that Scott’s father and uncle perjured themselves on the issue of alibi. That Scott was with them. But I also read that ME could not authoritatively give an exact time of death for Mr. Coffin. So does that mitigate the perjury concerns? And who was the ME in charge of the case and were there parallels to the ME’s office like those in the mishandling of evidence in the case with the police department?
A corrupt or even shoddy ME is a “get out of jail card” and a “go to jail card”.
Am I to understand that there were no bullets found to collaborate Scotts story that he fired at the man who lit a fire on his porch?

The reported attack on Davis is so problematic as to be totally believable. Fire on porch? Gun shots returned with Scott’s shotgun blast at attacker whose bullets cannot be found? Is that what happened?
If I’m at home and someone starts a fire on my porch, I’ll go for my shotgun. Then I’ll walk outside to see what is going to burn my house down.
Somebody sprays me in the face. I’m blinded for a few moments. He runs turns and fires at me. I fire back.
But wait. His gun has no bullets. Only blanks.
I tell my story to the police. They can’t believe it. No bullets.
My alibi is shot to hell for lack of bullets.

That’s comforting for all those families whose kin were sent to jail on botched DNA evidence and who people like you put out of sight and out of mind for an expression on their guilty faces.

I also cant believe Scotts dad would smear his career and reputation by providing not only his support but a false alibi as well . Saw the show on Investigation Discovery Channel tonight about the Ghost of David Coffin. By the end of the program I was convinced that Scott was definitely the murderer. I hope he enjoys his years in Prison as someone’s girlfriend for what he did!

What a horrid site this is! It’s quite obvious its sole purpose is to slander Megan and the Coffin family. Scott’s father can’t accept the fact that is son is a common criminal and an unfit member of society, so like a child having a temper tantrum he lashes out because he didn’t get his way and his family’s name is ruined. It doesn’t take a psychologist to figure out that Scott had a HUGE lack of self esteem and was obsessed with Megan. And it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure out he set his own own cement porch on fire. And the ridiculously high reward is so laughable! Why not raise it to 1,000,000 since you know it’ll never get claimed anyway.

Those with money ALWAYS thing they can buy their way out of trouble. Too bad it didn’t work this time for lil’ ol’ rich brat, Scott Davis. Megan was in love with David – his having millions or not doesn’t matter – she was in the midst of a divorce from the lil’ ol’ rich brat who didn’t want to let her go or let her be happy with someone else. Motive? Hell yeah!! A lot less convictions for murder have been upheld with even less evidence than was in this trial – circumstantial or not.
Prayers are with the Coffin family and with Megan. Live your new life to the fullest, Megan. David will be your guardian angel.

Molly, whom I suspect is Scotts delusional girlfriend doesn’t seem to have been around when the murder happened so I doubt would know whether he is guilty or innocent., That said, Why would Megan kill the man she was in love with? I just watched Dateline and this is the second time I’ve come across this story. The first time I watched, I didn’t pay much attention to the details only the story line. This time, I started wondering why so many questions were answered by Megan only, it’s as if the entire show is from her point of view only. I have no desire to use cruel words like so many on this blog have done. I feel terrible that a man was murdered and for the loss that will forever haunt his family. I, also cannot help but wonder why there are not more answers to questions about the idea that Megan is involved. Why would a person lie about obtaining a degree, cheat on her husband and then not be doubted about her honesty. Is it possible that this woman was being rejected by David. Maybe she found out that he was still seeing his ex-girlfriend? Maybe, Megan found out about this other relationship and confronted him? There are so many unanswered questions and dateline did a terrible job of not clearing the air for people who either believe that the right person is behind bars or that there is an innocent man in prison.

Unfortunately, the investigators and prosecutors were not seeking the truth. They just wanted to convict the arrogant acting Scott Davis because he just looked too smug. His attorney should’ve worked on his courtroom demeanor since that and the motive seemed to be the only evidence. He said that he would kill anyone who had a sexual relationship with Megan? I would think that anyone who had sex with her would kill themselves- but seriously is that enough to convict? What initially raised my eyebrow is when the prosecutor said that rich folks have a big advantage over poor defendants. Wow. So if that is really true then how does she sleep at night knowing that the Defendant she convicted of aggravated robbery today (based on evidence similar in type and volume as this Davis case) had a court appointed attorney or a less than capable attorney who needs the trial fee to pay his electric bill. Motive?? think about it- you have motive to kill your boss, kids, spouse, parents etc. every day. This blog really proves how important voir dire is in trying to seat a fair jury. Many times people will focus on one single thing and decide guilt/innocence in the first few hours of a trial. They close their minds immediately and subconsciously tune out the remainder of the trial. Many of these blog entries are emotionally based and there is no logical thought. I’m not sure I could think of a case with more reasonable doubt

Poor Scott……….not………Megan had no reason to kill David, and for anyone to suggest otherwise is just a desperate attempt to deflect suspicion away from the “real” killer. I believe that Scott did indeed kill David, and being the spoiled rich kid, he thinks that he should be able to buy his way out of this.

Just got done watching the 48 hours tv show on TLC. Little torn about this case, the show should have interviewed the jury to figure out the rationale for coming up with guilty verdict..
Whether Davis is guilty or not the fact is that the there was no physical evidence and the case was even dropped at one point…While I don’t think any of the “suspects” listed on this website makes any sense at all, its rather difficult to understand why or how Davis was found guilty without any evidence and only on circumstantial evidence of jealousy being the only motive.
Really puzzling case..

Besides David, the other victims are his family, friends and those of Scott as well. His selfish, immature and evil actions have affected countless people. Now Scott’s family is spending their time searching for someone who isn’t there. A mother and father only want the best for their children and see only the best in them. Everyone in his poor family is in denial because this little man has them wrapped around his finger. $350,000??????????? Many families in America don’t even make a tenth of that in a year. I hope that money is making interest because that is the only good that will come of it. The money should be donated to victims of homicide. As one blogger said, most of these blogs are emotionally based. Just as most actions are emotionally based, we’re all human and have emotions. Scott’s actions were based on emotions that night. Unless, like I believe, he’s a sociopath and doesn’t have emotions.

1. In the police interviews scott davis says shot in the head, not just shot
2. she should get to keep her wedding ring
3. she cheated because her man was an ass, didnt do what he had to to satisfy her, physically or emotionally
4. i watched this on 48 hours, even read most the information on hear, for this adventure to free scott davis, i think hes guilty. but just having false info in #1, saying he only said shot, not shot in the head, when he blatantly says shot in the head in the police recorded interview, means this site shouldnt be credible with its information, like megan brutons credibility shouldnt be taken seriously because of her falsifications.

I just watched the hard evidence show, Scott Davis is so obviously guilty. Megan had nothing to do with it. He did his crime, now he can get free psychiatric care from his disturbing old man Too bad he didn’t make an appointment for his obvious mental health issues before that fateful day. Just saying.

I think that using this site to slander Megan, is just a lame attempt to draw the focus away from Scott. He was desperate to avenge the loss of his wife to a rival who not only was sleeping with Megan, but also came from a very wealthy family. Scott fancies himself a mover and shaker, but sadly can not tolerate anyone who dares to disagree with his view.
Scott needs to be honest with his family so they can move on to the next step which is winning his parole in nine years. Otherwise, he will never get paroled.

Scott killed David! When I watched this the second time.. I recognized his behavior in my ex.. He didnt care about me until I left…..then he did everything in his power to get me back,, this included beating up any interested suitors.. and harrassing family members.. Unfortunately it took til he was disabled for me not to be afraid any more.. ( remember Megan saying she felt “safe” for the first time?) I believe her..
And WHY would she want David dead? Its obvious even after 10 years, she loves him!!

Just watched this story on TLC and was struck by the dedication of the dad of the victim. His obvious love for his son & his relentless tenacity of seeing through to the end the conviction of the man guilty of taking his son’s life behind bars was quite impressive.
Which was in sharp contrast as to how I saw the father of the killer, Scott Davis. Very obvious that he was lying as far as his son being with him while he watched the news. Why in the world would he not reveal this sooner, whether he was asked or not? Also, I noted that after it was announced in court that his son was guilty, it showed the son’s girlfriend hugging him (the father) and she sounded to be crying hysterically. Unexpectedly, she releases her tight grip from his neck and collapes on the floor beside him. He didn’t even glance over or look down to see where she fell, lol. Know he still was in shock from the news that his son was found guilty, but that really was incredibly telling to me and an indication that he was just as cold as his son. Like father, like son.
Found Megan to be completely believable and can understand her desire to leave the country and to be as far away from this maniac as possible. Wish her only the best and hope that she is finally happy after what Scott Davis put her through.
Also, found Ricky Chambers from Atlanta PD, the most down to earth credible person I’ve seen in a while. Agree with him that Scott Davis might as well have hung a flashing neon sign around his neck saying, “I’m GUILTY” with his outrageous claims of being shot at, etc. that he claimed happened. Loved that example and I agreed. He might have been a tech wizard as his dad referred to him as, but was definitely lacking in common sense and the ability to show warmth or love. Hope his legal assistant girlfriend finally picked herself up from the floor and has moved on with her life.

I happened upon this site – UNbelieveable! Tho ONLY victim in this case is David Coffin, and his family! Daddy Doccy Davis LIED on the witness stand. He worked with the APD in Forensics when this case was active and called in a few favors. When will he be indicted for perjury??? I’m sure he is posting negative things here under different screen names. he has lost ALL credibility in the Atlanta community. No one will touch him with a ten-foot pole now. Google Dave M Davis and read the reviews. There is no vendetta toward him or Scott, just outright disdain and disgust at this father-son tag team of utter arrogance and incompetence over the decades. I don’t know where all these above posters live, but if you live in Atlanta a long time, then you KNOW Scott is guilty as sin. Who the H*ll would even put up a site like this one. Just watched the show. Hardly a crime of passion, and Meghan was separated when she started dating Mr. Coffin. And if she was just a biatch, why did Scott want her back to begin with? 2. If Scott Davis was so thratening why did she not file a domestic violence injunction
3. If you lie about being a college graduate you generally lie about other important things.

I stumbled across this site after seeing this story on 48 hrs. At first I thought this site was a joke until I stumbled on the comments sections. You can not be serious for possible suspects you list cocaine dealers?? Really…. Lets just say a “cocaine dealer” did commit this murder, what would they have to gain from it? One they would lose a possible customer, assuming he was one, a rich one at that who can support a habit. And two why wouldn’t they ransack the house first taking anything of value?? Next you list all the false lies that Megan has states but you make no mention of the false alibi his dad gave him. The guy was an obsessive jealous ex lover who felt jilted its obvious to anyone who looks at it with an outside mind. I have no connection to either one of them and I can clearly see he is guilty! Just listen to the comments he gives at the end of the trial, theres no emotion in his voice, an innocent man would have been doing everything to fight back the emotion.

Since the forensic psychological profile in question regarding this case is that of his won flesh and blood, he cannot accept the fact that his son Scott was harboring homicidal aggression. Statistics prove that the majority of psychologists and psychiatrists receive an education in those respective fields to try and “exorcise” their own demons. So, one can conclude that Dr. Davis may have had (and successfully concealed) sociopathic propensities of his own. The apple does not fall far from the tree.

Just watched the Coffin murder case for the second time on ID and looked up Mr. Davis’ web site out of couriousity. It is unfortunate in this country that not only do the very wealthy have a better opportunity to be acquited of a crime, it is also true that it you are wealthy, white, young, or good looking and you are the victim of a crime there is a greater likilihood that the perpertrator of the crime will be punished. If David Coffin were poor, elderly, Black, and weighed 300 pounds we would not be having this discussion. Instead of spending all these resources on one case we need to look at the entire system so that it will be fairer for everyone!

I believe Scott needs a new trial .When I watched ID..the way they told the story, he was guilty.Said nothing about Megan’s millionaire boyfriends or her conduct all through all these events.She was a perfect angel.It did occur to me at one time, as I was watching ID, that Megan should have been a suspect.Very seldom do you find a man killed in a kitchen.What was he doing in the kitchen at MN?Getting a drink for someone?Were there any alcohol bottles around him?Glasses?Even burned houses sometimes glasses still are scorched, but still not burnt completely.Apparently he had been drinking, plus cocaine.That wasn’t on ID either.It sounded like Megan was his only love..lol.Yet,I believe he was going to tell her they would have to cool it.Maybe it did.Megan as I said, appeared on ID, she was this sweet little angel,but to me after reading all the real evidence about her ,she’s all about Megan.If in the interview ,she said she was glad ID didn’t make her and David look bad.She also said Scott stop paying attention to her right after they got married.I believe she enjoyed toying with Scott’s emotions.Remember, how she loved David paying attention to her.He even died a perfect man because he didn’t have a fight we her.lol.Another question, what was she doing at David’s neighbor house at the time of the fire?.I might have missed it,but why was she there, at that time of night? Who called her or how did she know the house was burning?Something is wrong.Guess she’s having a nice life in Australia…

My thoughts exactly Joe Labreque!! Dr. Davis seemed to be willing to do ANYTHING including ruinging his own name. He was so obviously a liar in Court. That constant eyebrow twitch, the tongue flicking out and the HUGE delay in answering the question. His brain was thinking up the answer that’s for sure. Anyway, didn’t serve him or his brat well as it was SOOOOO obvious that he was lying. You have to feel somewhat sorry for a family that thinks they are so entitled to privilege that they should be allowed to lie. This is what I see here. You are so deceived. Honestly, the Free Scott side are just plain blind. Take a poll of this site alone and see how many folks here can see that Scott Davis is GUILTY. Mr. I maintain my innocence didn’t even have the guts to take the stand.
When it comes to credibility, I’ll stick with Meghan. She was credible and classy. I guess all 12 jurors were just plain stupid too huh? No, they got it right. You appear to be calling Megan, the police, the Jurors, everybody who doesnt agree with you a liar. When everyone else is wrong, or corrupt, or whatever you want to call the and only you are right, then that speaks for itself. Anyway, Scott is in Prison because the circumstantial evidence was there to convict him. Remember, he torched all the physical evidence. Didn’t help him did it?
